Whether you are an experienced angler who considers fishing a sport, or you just like to relax with a line in your hand, Te Kaha (and indeed, this entire coastline) is an absolute paradise for fishing.

Hunt big game species like marlin and tuna, or reel in delicious 'plate' fish such as snapper and terakihi. Fishing is a hugely popular activity here in the East Cape, probably due to the sheer abundance of marine life! Whether fishing from a rocky beach or off the side of a boat, the chances of catching your dinner are almost guaranteed.

Diving
The East Cape offers world-class diving opportunities (along with abundant crayfish and other mouth-watering seafood), including the chance to dive around an active volcano!
